Sufian al Malayeen & Ahmad Awamleh

From education to the court

Sufian al Malayeen has worked in Jordan's international schools sector for more than 13 years. Over that time he saw first-hand how students need a dedicated environment that combines education, sport, safety, and future-ready skills. With no specialized volleyball academy in Jordan offering this integrated experience for all school students, he set out to build one: a structured space for learning, training, and development where students can discover and grow their talent in a professional setting.

From players to founders

Sufian al Malayeen grew up on Amman's courts, playing club volleyball from his early teens and progressing through the national competitive system. What shaped him most was not the winning, it was noticing how much raw talent around him went undeveloped simply because there was no structured place to train. Ahmad Awamleh shared that same vision from inside the game as a veteran coach and player.

Building Champions

Sufian and Ahmad founded Champions Volleyball Academy together to be that place. Starting with a single hall and a handful of players, the academy now operates five locations across Amman: Dabouq, Airport Road, Khalda, Shmeisani and Jubeiha. The pair designed the academy's technical curriculum themselves: a progression of passing, serving, setting, attacking and defensive systems that every coach delivers consistently.

Two complementary roles

Sufian al Malayeen runs the management side of the academy: programs, scheduling, staff, parent communication and day to day operations. Ahmad Awamleh is the Head Coach, leading everything that happens on court, overseeing coach development and reviewing player assessments each cycle. Parents know them both by name because they are always present.
